Mr
Dave Ellis
Dave joined the RAF as a
Halton Apprentice in Jan 1966 and trained as an airframe fitter. During
his 39 years service he was stationed at various units both at home and
overseas including Changi, Gutersloh, Belize and the Falkland Islands
working on a variety of aircraft and in specialist technical posts.
He was promoted to Warrant
Officer in 1998 and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in
conjunction with the 1999 Queen’s Birthday Honours. For some 25 years he
has had a long association with the Harrier aircraft, he retired from
the service in August 2004 as an Aircraft Engineering Technician.
A cadet with No
231(Norwich) Sqn he renewed his links with the Corps in 1992 joining the
civilian committee with 115 (Peterborough) Sqn serving as Secretary and
currently as Chairman. He assumed the role of Wing Chairman in 2002 and
also represents the wing on the Central & East Regional Council.
Both the Wing Chairman and
Wing Treasurer have considerable experience in the management of
civilian committee matters and finance and are only too pleased to offer
advice and help. Please do not sit on a problem but ask for help from
either of us or the wing staffs.
