Marksmanship

Cadets will be taught weapon handling & marksmanship by appropriately qualified instructors.

After demonstrating their competence in weapon handling they will be given the opportunity to fire the No. 8 .22 calibre rifle.

When they have demonstrated their ability to fire the Mk 8 rifle & achieved the age of 14 1/2 cadets may be given the opportunity to train to fire the Cadet L98A1 rifle. This is a special cadet version of the standard British Army SA80 rifle.
