NCO

As An Adult SNCO (Senior Non-Commissioned Officer) within the Corps you could be called upon to carry out a variety of roles, these could include teaching drill & organising parades, weapon training, teaching any of the subjects in the cadet training syllabus, or looking after a Squadron Band.

Soon after your appointment you would be expected to undertake a short period of training to equip you for these tasks.

To apply to become an Adult SNCO you must be at least 20 years of age, and have completed a probationary period within the Corps (usually as a Civilian Instructor).

Initially you will be appointed in the rank of Adult Sergeant, after suitable training & experience you may be promoted to the rank of Flight Sergeant & then Warrant Officer.

An Adult NCO may apply for a Commission in the RAFVR(T) at any time.
