Junior Cadet
Most Squadrons run an intake programme where Junior Cadets will start together and complete an initial training program together. The aim of this is to encourage team work and to develop new skills together.
Basic training includes learning about the history of flight and the RAF, map reading and camp craft. As a military youth organisation, discipline is at the heart of what we do. This is encouraged through teaching the Cadets ‘drill’ or marching as some would call it!
At the end of the Junior Cadet process a cadet will be issued with his/her uniform & enrolled as a Second Class Cadet.
Second Class Cadet
When the Uniform has been issued a Cadet will be enrolled and become a Second Class Cadet. There is no badge for this classification but training will continue for the First Class Cadet badge as soon as possible
