The Air Cadet Organisation is one of the finest youth organisations in the UK. It offers a vast range of important activities and opportunities to young people. It is unique, the only youth organisation that is parented and supported by the RAF with a top priority to fly Cadets at every opportunity.
Effective Media Communications means using every opportunity to ensure a positive attitude from all sections of public image and help cultivate goodwill and public support for the work we do.
Every Cadet and Adult volunteer within the ACO has a role to play in representing the public image. Successful communications can also achieve specific goals, one example being the recruitment of Cadets or Adult Volunteers.
As the Wing MCO it is a chance to promote and raise awareness of the ACO and this Wing’s activities in particular to the general public, to promote links and ties with the RAF, also to build strong relationships with all the media, including local radio and television and encourage Squadron MCO's in all PR Matters.
Media Communications is a diverse and rewarding activity to become involved with, particularly when positive results are seen.
Every Squadron has News as every Cadet achieves.
