Radio Communications

The Air Training Corps has since its beginning recognised the usefulness of Telecommunications and Radio in particular.

Currently we are certifying cadets as VHF/UHF radio operators and as Communicators.
 
The VHF/UHF operators course covers operation and usage of basic communications equipment whilst the Communicator Badge is a modular course which can cover Data Transmission, Computing, Radar, Satellite communications and a Special Radio Amateurs Exam.

On a practical level the wing owns a number of UHF hand-portable radios which can be loaned to Squadrons for exercises or events.
